MAACO has it’s own engineering design & consultation bureau, in which a high  qualified team of engineers in the fields of Architectural, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical & Electronic Engineering  that provide the required services for the group’s projects. For Architectural  & Civil construction projects they offer the appropriate services of various buildings, roads, bridges, railways, etc., as well as for electrical projects include transmission lines and distribution network, Power transforming substations 132/33/11 KV, for the  mechanical and electro-mechanic engineering of various sectors and projects include water purification and distribution, water treatment and heavy pumping station.

This bureau carries out the required researches and studies needed by the group’s work and projects. For example, the office carried out visual surveying and technical assessment for more than 40 electrical substations in Babel province – Iraq, and then they prepared long-term plan takes into consideration the current expansions of the province infrastructure, which helped the Ministry of Electricity to prepare of expansion plans based on scientific data and realistic.

The group is also provides the required training and development courses for the technical staff and engineers in various fields that the group deals with through the engineering consultancy bureau. Worth mentioning, the engineering office has organized a training course for the employees of the Electricity Distribution Directorate of Babel province – Iraq, they trained 150 operators of secondary transfer stations and 70 technicians in the Directorate as well as 60 electrical engineers learned the software development of information and experiences. Also, training on inspection, operation and maintenance of substations as well as transmission lines and distribution networks.
