Oil & Gas sector
- Maacoheld meeting with Bosnia company specialized in oil & gas field on January/2016 in our regional office at Amman in order to set
kind of cooperation to work together for future projects in Iraq in this field. - Maaco start dialog with Iraq Oil Tankers Company to find the suitable way for common operation of oil transportation in cooperation with Maaco office at Geniva.
- Maaco complete it’s obligation with Samsung Company at Badra/2 – oil field.
Rail way sector
- Maaco had been completed successfully the contract with IRR to supply 1550 set of power point machine for Turnout in cooperation with (CRSBG) company (china), final handover completed&Bank Guaranty released .
- Annual meeting held in our regional office in Amman with our partner China (CRSBG) on January/2016 to discuss & review all past subjects in add to new project in Iraqi specially in the sector of railway line construction , steel bridge (design , supply & construction) since Maaco are the partner of (CRSBG) in Iraq.
- Maaco & CRSBG study together the suitable model to built Karbala / Najaf new railway line in cooperation with IRR & other clients.
New Girder factory
ALL equipment’s & machines had been arrived to project site since end of year 2015. All civil works are completed, Hope to start the assembling& commissioning of equipment in coming weeks.

Discussions visit of the Basra’s Province Delegation to the MAACO Group Regional Office in Amman
Based on the formal invitation of the Regional Office of the Middle East Region for MAACO Group, and referring to the administrative decision issued by the Governate of Basra, delegates of the Governate had an official visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan during the period from the date of 17.11.2010 till 21.11.2010, in order to hold a series of meetings with the General Directorate of the Group to pursue of what have been negotiated between them during many past visits of MAACO Professionals to the Governate of Basra in addition to the meetings held between them as well as to the correspondences that have been done over the previous periods to discuss all possible opportunities of cooperation in different areas of common interest
works between them, that work fall within the ambitious plans of the Province of Basra for the development of various sectors in the province by taking advantages of all potentials that MAACO Group possess in these sectors and the capabilities of its group of companies in both Europe and Iraq Which makes the opportunities of benefiting from the capabilities to serve the plans of Basra Province real success that carry a lot of the factors for success and sustainability. The delegates included from:
– Dr. Ahmed Hameed Hassan – Vice Governor of Basra.
– Mr. Abdel-Sattar Ali AL-Moussawi – Board Member of Basra Governate.
– Brigadier-General.Ali Hussein Aziz – Deputy Governor of Basra.
– Mr. Habib Issa Baqer – Director of the vice Governor Office.
Discussions’ Meetings
God’s blessing sessions were held daily meetings at the Regional Office of the Middle East Region for the group in the city of Amman – the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan began at 11:00 am in the morning of Thursday, 18/11/2010 and continued in subsequent days, was attended by the Chairman and members of the Basra Province delegation, while the group’s delegation attended each of the following:

– Mr. Mohammad Hamad Musa, MAACO Representative in Basra Province.
– Eng. Thafer AL-Badri, Engineering Designs Consultant.
– Eng. Safwan AL-A’ani, Bridge Construction & Concrete Girders Consultant.
– Mr. Mohammad Hassan AL-Sarraf, Expert in Finance, Financial Agreements & Pre-Paid Contracts Consultant.
– Mr. Ya’rub AL-Tamimi, Public Relations & Coordination Consultant.
The meeting has been initiated by Mr. Mohammad A. AL-Madani (MAACO Group Chairman), in a speech which he welcomed the chairman and members of the Basra Province delegation, then approved the minutes of meeting, which included the following:
> First: A brief introduction about International MAACO Group of companies by the Chairman, Mr. Mohammad AL-Madani.
> Second: The agenda has been thrown which includes the main topics and themes of the discussions which contained in the program where the talks included the following topics:
– The Electricity Sector.
– The Investment Sector of the Residential Segment.
– Bridge Construction & Intersections Sector.
– Construction Sites Security Systems.
– Medical Equipments & Requirements Supply.
Final Meeting
In the final meeting, the parties reviewed the summary of the discussions between them, and they signed and adopted the discussions as a program in order to implement what it is stated.
Then the delegation left Amman on the morning of Sunday, 21/11/2010 return to the Province of Basra after a successful visit and discussions.

Negotiations
Negotiations
MAACO Group entered in deep negotiations with the local government of Basra Province for the purposes of re-constructing the infrastructure of the province which have been already planned and set by the local government. These ambitious plans taking advantage of the fiscal revenues that began generating from the share of the province from the crude oil fields located in it based on the principle of (Petro-dollars), which began work in Iraq recently.
Generally, the projects that are currently discussing at the current stage are:
- The establishment of small and medium electric-power generation plants for feeding the cities of the province in electric power as a kind of reference to the national power grid which does not feed and cover the province needs 100% at the present time.
- Update and expansion the electric-power convert stations through the provision of the required equipments and generators.
- Provide lines for electric-power transmission.
